The Fehrsen Point project is a two-storey office proposal on a prominent site in Brooklyn, Pretoria. ARCA Unlimited was given artistic freedom to design a contemporary office building that not only utilises the triangular corner site on which it is to be built but also embraces its distinct opportunities. This project will offer a unique office space. It is designed for optimal visibility with excellent branding opportunities. The building has two prominent street edges and three prominent corners, each very different in nature. The Fehrsen Street edge responds to a busy street on an urban scale. Its design has little pedestrian interaction in mind and, as this is the west-facing façade, climatic constraints have been taken into consideration. The William Street edge of the building responds to this quiet street on a human scale and features the building's main pedestrian entrance. As the east-facing façade, generous glazing allows for both natural light and dramatic views over the Jacaranda-lined street.
